LG G5: 10 things you should know before (or after) buying one
To say that the LG G5 is a hot smartphone would be an understatement. It is one of the most heavily discussed, most attention-grabbing mobile devices right now, and for a number of reasons. First of all, the phone is one of the most potent rivals to the iPhone 6s and the Galaxy S7. Then there's the fact that the LG G5 has just been released in the U.S., and reviews of it are all over the web. And thirdly, how can you resist checking out the phone after watching that adrenaline-inducing commercial starring Jason Statham

But in all seriousness, LG's new flagship is a pretty good smartphone, as you probably know if you've read our LG G5 review. Although it does have its peculiarities, much like every handset around. Here's a list with 10 of them – 10 LG G5 facts you should know before (or after) buying LG's best phone yet.

And here's another things LG has very horrible reputation for after sales service, from hardware and software and pretty much 9 out of 10 users complaints, so horrible from software update that only 1 out 10 models received Marsmallow. so horrible it's comical. Barf on LG for this

People wont be banned for expressing their opinion. They'll mostly be banned for offensive language. You want him to be banned because he doesn't say what you like?

It's not an opinion, it is flame-baiting. They have nothing at all constructive to say, and the comments do not even relate (other than the MF) to the article. They need to go!

I fully agree with that. Still waiting for my G4 to be returned by LG after it developed the boot loop issue and it's been nearly a month. LG after sales service in the UK is rubbish. However good the G5 might be I will never have the confidence to buy another LG device.

The always on display of my Lumia 1020 and 950 are brighter than the g5(they are about the same as the s7), but I do think that it is not necessary to be as bright as my Lumia 950, 1020, or the s7. If the dimmer screen saves battery life significantly, then I support LG's decision. However, this may not be LG's intention and could be a software bug.

It's not a software bug. LCD displays don't have the luxury of switching on only the pixels they need. To even incorporate this feature, LG has to turn on 1/3 of the display. Imagine how much power it will drain if it were brighter.

I was unsure whether or not it was intended, thank you for shedding light on this.

Some people may have experienced those issues or put the phone in unrealistic scenarios to try and highlight its flaws, but in all honesty I think your spelling is worse, sorry. :(

check androidpolice's G5 review, they get 2 G5, pre-production model and Tmo retail model, both have terrible bleeding backlight

The allignment problem is prominent and appears even on replaced units. Youtube has plenty video to support it. Bleeding best observed when in dark, real life scenario would be at night having dark gradient on display. It is realistic by all meams. I my all honesty my intentions are not parralel to yiur expectations.

If LG had included a tiny non removablebattery inside the phone that was permanently attached aswell as the removable battery it would be revolutionary, imagine being able to hotswap your battery whilst the phone was still powered on.

The only issue I have with this phone is that it isn't metal like LG claimed. The phone kind've reminds me of the Nexus 5x. Isn't the best looking phone in the world. But really like the features it has.

what's the point of having a brighter AOD on the S7 if it doesn't show me what I need? LG wins by miles in this category. And hey, it's not a Samsung, so another big win there.

IN about 6 months we start are winter cleanings. ANYONE needing to drop the Lg G5 at the dump, we'll be glad to take it for you. WHAT a crap of a phone. That phones already affecting Lg with the 3% drop off in sales. They cant afford to continue where they left off last year. LG wont continue to allow their smartphone failure to effect the areas where they do well in, such as appliances and other electronic products.

The LGG5 is the biggest clunk of garbage I've purchased. I've been using LG phones for many many years and hands down its the worse one I've ever had. I can't list all the reasons, but will never purchase another LG product ever. The dumbest part of the phone is when they changed the charger interface. Now I have many micro sd chargers I can't use. The other main issue is the camera. It doesn't recognise videos or pictures frequently. LG POS!
