LG G Watch surfaces at a retailer: priced at $255, order today, get it on July 7th

Hours before Google I/O 2014, the LG G Watch has officially gone up for pre-order on retailer Mobile Fun with a price of $254.99. The G Watch will indeed feature an always-on display, run on the Android Wear platform, and you can order yours today and get it on July 7th.

The LG G Watch is offered in two colors: Stealth Black and Champagne Gold, and good news is that it is available not only in the United States, but also internationally (in Europe, the price is set at €225). Note that we've heard about a slightly lower, $199 (€199 in Europe) price earlier, so we're not perfectly sure whether this latest slightly higher price tag will be the final one.

LG’s first Android Wear-powered smartwatch features a rectangular display, and while we do not know the actual specs just yet, some rumors have made a bold suggestion that the G Watch will feature the fairly powerful Snapdragon 400 system chip.

We expect to see the Motorola Moto 360 also make an appearance at Google I/O, and we’ve heard whispers about a third Android Wear smartwatch, one that could be manufactured by Samsung (some sources say Asus could also make one). Hit the source link below to go to the store offering the LG G Watch, but for all the official info - stay tuned as Google I/O kicks off today, at 9am PT.
