Is this the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact?

The Sony Xperia Z5 and Sony Xperia Z5 Compact are both expected to be unveiled in September during the IFA show in Berlin. Today, a picture has surfaced that claims to show the back of the Xperia Z5 Compact. The Omni Balance design is present, and because of the side placement of the fingerprint scanner, the power and volume buttons are located much further down the side of the handset. This is part of the Xperia Z5 Compact's design that has already been spotted on other leaked photos of the phone.

We could see the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact come with a 4.7-inch, 720 x 1280 HD resolution screen. That works out to a pixel density of 312ppi. The Snapdragon 810 SoC will be under the hood, carrying an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 430 GPU. 3GB of RAM is said to be on board. We would expect the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact to feature an IP 68 certification.

We are less than two weeks away from Sony's media event, so be prepared for a onslaught of leaks related to both the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact.

Thanks for the tip!
