The Sony Xperia Z5 and Sony Xperia Z5 Compact are both expected to be unveiled in September during the IFA show in Berlin. Today, a picture has surfaced that claims to show the back of the Xperia Z5 Compact. The Omni Balance design is present, and because of the side placement of the fingerprint scanner, the power and volume buttons are located much further down the side of the handset. This is part of the Xperia Z5 Compact's design that has already been spotted on other leaked photos of the phone.
We could see the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact come with a 4.7-inch, 720 x 1280 HD resolution screen. That works out to a pixel density of 312ppi. The Snapdragon 810 SoC will be under the hood, carrying an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 430 GPU. 3GB of RAM is said to be on board. We would expect the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact to feature an IP 68 certification.
We are less than two weeks away from Sony's media event, so be prepared for a onslaught of leaks related to both the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact.
Thanks for the tip!

Either that lady has very small hands, or that phone in the pic is the full sized Z5, or if it is the Z5C it is going to be a much bigger phone than the Z3C. even my wifes thumb and palm spans the entire length of the Z3 compact and she has small girly hands. The hand in the pic only reaches 3/4 to the top. Anyway... I love my Z3C, battery life, waterproof, front facing stereo speakers, performance, style, etc and have been eagerly waiting for it's replacement but from what I'm seeing they aren't improving the bits that need improving. For a 2015 flagship device in a compact body, 312ppi is very low. HTC put a 469ppi 1080p screen on the 4.7" HTC One M7 back in March 2013. For the expected price the Z5C really needs to come with 1080p. I will definitely be concerned if the Z5C comes with the terrible Snapdragon 810 chip. I hope Sony have learnt from the overheating issues in the Z3+/Z4, and either find an alternative or manage to reel in the heat issues. Am also not a fan of the volume buttons being so low, I already find the placement on the Z3C a little to low. Not a big issue but would personally prefer them to be higher. Other improvements needed over the Z3C is better camera software to take advantage of the optics, better quality front facing speakers, and I really hope they start using tougher glass, hopefully Gorilla Glass 4. Come on sony, please make this the phone we want, not just a bumped up spec rehash.

can you give a link to the original photo or prove that it is photoshopped ,or are you just trying to be a jerk and trying to be funny? What I meant by water-cooling is liquid cooling that is used in PC.

No, that's not the Z3 Compact. The side buttons are different and the camera/flash are in different locations.

not really... but at least they will be integrating a fingerprint scanner on the side, probably the type that can be use even with wet hands. I would have liked to see a new design but if it doesn't happen it will still be a good phone. The current design, while tired and repeated, is good nontheless

The position of the flash is different, the placement of the keys don't match up and the G-Lens logo is below the camera instead of next to it. This is the Z5 Compact.

My Z3C overheated on SD801. The Z5C on SD810 will probably catch fire.
