Is this Motorola's 2015 line-up of smartphones (new Droid, Droid Mini, Moto X and Moto G)?
Yesterday, we had the chance to take a look at an image that allegedly showed the rear panel of an upcoming Motorola Droid smartphone.

Now, the same rear panel can be seen in a new photo, this time alongside the rear panels of what are, reportedly, the Moto X (2015), Moto G (2015), and a new Motorola Droid Mini.

Posted by HelloMotoHK, the new image suggests that all four upcoming new Motorola handsets will have at least one common design element: a silver-colored (possibly metallic) piece encompassing the rear camera, the flash, and the well-known Motorola dimple. Other than that, we can see that the alleged new Droid and Droid Mini both have patterned backs which kind of give them sporty looks.

Earlier today, we told you that the new Moto X, the new Moto G, and a new Droid for Verizon have been all approved by the FCC, so we're expecting Motorola to officially announce at least some of these new handsets in the near future.

By the way, it seems that the new Moto G will be Motorola's first mid-range smartphone to be compatible with MotoMaker - this means you'll be able to customize its design before buying it. Right now, the Moto X is the only handset that can be customized via MotoMaker.

Take a look at Motorola's alleged 2015 line-up of smartphones below (plus previously leaked renders of the new Moto G):

Update the Droid 2013 lineup to lollipop, that's what they should do, as THEY PROMISED IT.

Motorola already updated Moto X 2013 which has the exact same internals as the Droid lineup. I'm guessing it's Verizon which is holding back the update...

It must be as my 2013 Moto X is still on Android KitKat 4.4.4. Stupid Verizon. So help me, if Google/Motorola announces that the 2015 Moto X will work with Google's Project Fi I'm jumping ship.

Haha yeah carrier testing in US takes time so keep your fingers crossed but still Moto X 2013 is on the version of Android which most flagships from last year still have yet to receive. Personally i favor bug free updates instead of rushed ones.

No Moto phones for me because of their exclusive deals with Verizon. I would've bought a Droid Turbo otherwise but they weren't interested in my money.

Be careful what you wish for. Lollipop has a lot of hiccups and app crashes.

I think that depends on the version of LP. I have 5.1 and the thing is more stable than KK was on my device. Now if you're talking the 5.0.X releases, maybe.

IIRC they only started updating the 2013 Moto X last week, so it probably hasn't rolled out to everyone yet. And as always, the Moto line will be updated before any carrier exclusive line like the Droids, so that will come after the Motos get their update.

This makes me think they will all have unremarkable cameras.

So no finger scanner ready for android play? unless on the front which is a better place to put a scanner. Looks like Motorola not looking forward again.

Not a fan of the back of these phones were the camera etc is, imo it makes the phones look so ugly.

Yea, it was never thin. They look fine and black but the white really gives away the thickness and large bezels.

I have a moto g 2013 right now and I don't feel its thickness at all.. But for this one, eh..

Yea I've got the Moto G 2014 and in pictures or just looking at it from a distance it looks pretty thick, however when you hold it, it feels just fine. I suspect the new 2015 model will have near identical dimensions to the 14 model, however in white you see all the bezels and Thickness.
