New Motorola Droid seemingly coming soon, back panel leaks out

It seems that Motorola is currently pretty busy, as it's readying the launch of a few new smartphones, including a third-gen Moto G, and a so-called Moto X Sport. Today, another new Motorola handset that might be coming soon showed up, and, according to HelloMotoHK, it's a new "Droid" - which means it should be released by Verizon Wireless in the US.

HelloMotoHK posted an image that allegedly shows the back panel of said new Moto Droid. It appears that the device has a plastic (perhaps rubbery?) back with a geometrical pattern on it. We can also see a camera with what seems to be a hole for an LED flash beneath it. The overall design of this alleged new Droid resembles that of the recently leaked third-generation Moto G.

Unfortunately, there are no details on the features of the new Motorola Droid. We don't even know if it's a high-end device, or perhaps a mid-range one. In any case, the latest Droid to be officially released (the Motorola Droid Turbo) is soon going to be 1 year old, so we assume it won't be long before we hear more about the new model that showed up today.

Would you want Motorola to launch a new high-end Droid, or a mid-range one (maybe a Droid Mini successor)? Or both? Let us know in the comments!
