HTC One E9 renders show off a plastic device with One M8-like design and BoomSound speakers
By now, it should be clear to those of you paying attention that HTC isn't messing around this year. For those of you who weren't – it is becoming quite obvious that the company has not one, not two, but four whole new high-end devices on its roster for 2015. The list includes the already official HTC One M9 and One E9+, and we have good reason to believe that a One M9+ and a One E9 are also on their way – today more than ever.

A new set of supposed HTC One E9 press renders, courtesy of @upleaks, has been uploaded on the aforementioned leakster's Twitter handle. From the images, we can see a some resemblance to the One M7 (more so than the One M9 which is painted in two tones), but also to its predecessor, the One E8. That is, by the looks of it, the One E9 will also come in a plastic shell (at least it looks like matted plastic), and, like the One E9+, will have its rear camera ring located on the very top. Like the rest of the One ilk, the One E9, too, boasts a set of stereo BoomSound speakers up front.

Specifications wise, it's hard for us to tell what exactly HTC has in mind, specifically because previous reports on the matter actually turned out to have been referring to the One E9+ the whole time. Given the similarity in branding and looks, however, our educated guess would be that the One E9 will have a smaller screen than the One E9+ (5.5", 1440 x 2560), perhaps even a less pixel-dense one, and slightly trimmed specs. On that last count, it's worth pointing out that the E9+ sports an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and a 20-megapixel/4-megapixel rear and front cameras respectively.

More as we get it.
