HTC One E8 Android M software update arrives at Sprint
It's been almost two years since Sprint launched the HTC One E8, but those who purchased the device will not be disappointed for not upgrading to a new smartphone just yet since the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is finally rolling out.
Initially released with Android 4.4.2 KitKat inside, the One E8 was sold as a high-end device ($500), though it was still cheaper than HTC's flagship at that time, the One M8 ($650).
Sprint customers who still use the HTC One E8 might want to check their phones for a new software update since the carrier has just confirmed that Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is now rolling out to eligible devices.
According to Sprint, this is a phased OTA (over the air) rollout, which is expected to be completed by August 29. If software update version 3.10.651.6 doesn't show on your HTC One E8 yet, simply check back later.
Naturally, along with all the new features and improvements included in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, Sprint HTC One E8 units will also receive all current security patch updates, the carrier claims.

Keep in mind that the carrier warns customers that its support service can't tell them when the update will be available on their HTC One E8 units, so don't bother calling just for that.
