HTC Desire 828w gets TENAA certification in China

A variation of the new HTC Desire 828 handset has been certified by China's TENAA agency. This version, called the HTC Desire 828w, features larger, redesigned BoomSound stereo speakers in front. The unit will be offered in both single SIM and double SIM versions. The HTC Desire 828w will be equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution screen. That works out to a pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood will be an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of internal memory. Those requiring more storage can turn to the 128GB capacity microSD slot that is on board.

A 13MP camera adorns the back of the phone, while a 5MP snapper is on the front of the handset, ready to snap selfies and handle video chats. Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed with HTC Sense UI running on top. The model supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

The HTC Desire 828w will be 7.9mm thin and weighs 150 grams. HTC will offer the phone in White, Black, Red, Orange, Deep Blue, Gray and Gold. No word yet on pricing or availability.
