HTC Desire 816 seemingly headed to the UK
HTC UK took to Twitter to inform fans about the Desire 816 and some of its features, including the 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display, the 13MP rear camera, and its dual-front speakers. This likely means that the 816 will be sold in the UK at some point.

The new smartphone will be launched in China before the end of this month, and is expected to be released across Europe and North America starting April. We’re assuming that April is also when customers will be able to buy it in the UK. We don’t know how much the new Desire will cost there, but we can tell you that Amazon has priced it at €379 (£ 316) in some European markets.

The HTC Desire 816 should run Android 4.4.2 at launch. Besides the features listed above, the smartphone comes with a 5MP front-facing camera for "perfect selfies", LTE connectivity, a quad-core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 8GB of expandable internal memory, 1.5GB of RAM, and a 2,600 mAh battery. HTC will offer the handset in multiple color versions, including white, black, silver, red, green and yellow (but some may not be available in all markets).
