Google Play Store to receive a new shipment of Nexus 6 units every week
Worried that the Nexus 6 is going to be sold out for ever? After the red hot Motorola-built device sold out of every phone in inventory during the first day of pre-orders, there is some reason for cheer. Google has announced that it will replenish the shelves in the Google Play warehouse with a new shipment of Nexus 6 units each Wednesday. And hey, that is tomorrow already!

The Nexus 6 is priced at $649 for the 32GB model, and $699 for the 64GB variant. Eventually, all four major U.S. carriers will be offering the phone, although none of them are accepting pre-orders at the moment.

The Nexus 6 is equipped with a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. Driving the phone is a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 CPU, with the Adreno 420 GPU crunching graphics. The handset comes with 3GB of RAM, and the 13MP rear-facing camera features OIS and an f/2.0 aperture. The latter means that the phone can take great pictures under low-light conditions. The front-facing camera weighs in at 2MP. A 3220mAh battery powers the phone, which has Android 5.0 pre-installed.

With a spec sheet like that, it might be hard to procure a Nexus 6, even with the new inventory being shipped in weekly by Google.

Google is being really lame with this Nexus 6 ordering debacle. Hopefully the carrier versions of the Nexus 6 are exactly the same as Google's version and there is far less BS.

No doubt. Carriers here in Canada only carried 16gb version of N5, some had a $50 clam mark up if bought off contract. Hopefully they carry the larger memory version an drop that crazy surcharge this year. Somehow I doubt Google is expecting high sales again like previous models at launch and will bumble this again. However, no where as near as lame as Oneplus launch follies.

Most likely the price will go up. The US $ has gain something like 10% in the last year. They most likely will take an extra 15% on top.

Or, the more logical option would be that Google WANTS it to be more available in stores to THE VAST MAJORITY of phone buyers, thus is making less available through the Play Store. There is only a finite number of phones they can make... where would you place the bulk of your sales? On the full retail $700 side, or the side where people can buy it for $200 on contract? The obvious answer is the one that's cheaper for consumers. And even on carriers like Tmobile that sell it full price, they offer a financing option that GP doesnt offer. If they have this issue when going to the carriers, then you can bitch... this is a limited supply situation on purpose to have supply to the much larger audience.

Botched possibly yes, but rebooting upon or shortly after delivery no. So all good Mxy.

Mxy seems unhappy with the Nexus 6 because it is unbendable like his favorite brand.

I am not sure what is worse. Bendy like iPhone 6 Plus or unattainable like One Plus. Either way, I guess customer ends up nonplussed... :)

That has nothing to do with anything here.

Hopefully they can keep them in stock this time if this is true.

Idk if Verizon is going to sell it subsidized etc through themselves which will really make me angry. I wonder if a place like Best Buy selling the phone would offer a subsidized price on Verizon. On googles site today it mentions it coming to all carrier stores soon except Verizon. Sigh.

Yes Verizon will carry the Nexus 6. Google has already confirmed that. What I worry about is: Will the Nexus 6 on VZW turn into another Galaxy Nexus debical?

I doubt it. Google would not have allowed another Nexus on Verizon if they weren't controlling the updates themselves. There is a reason why Verizon didn't get the last 2 Nexus phones. It took some time to work that out.
