Google Maps for iOS gains quick access to transit and traffic info in the latest update
Google Maps development is a little bit ahead on Android, but the iOS app is getting the same features sooner or later as well. The latest update brings one improvement that's been added to the Maps for Android last year: quick access to transit and traffic info.

The search giant has just announced it is now rolling out the same useful update to Maps for iOS. If you've already received the update, you can now swipe up to get access to three tabs: explore, driving, and transit.

These tabs will allow Maps for iOS users find a nearby restaurant much easier, or even catch the next bus. Make sure you have your home and work address save to see recommendations for which bus or train to take and when the next one's coming.

With the latest update, Google Maps for iOS provides users with in-depth transit and traffic info, including transit stations along with real-time schedules, real-time ETAs, as well as nearby traffic conditions report and expected delays on certain routes.

I can’t remember the last time used Google maps. Ever since Waze, that’s the only GPS system I use.

Can relate. Waze is the best out there.

Actually for me is the other way around... ever since Google bought Waze, I stop using it and now exclusively use Google Maps...
