Google confirms “dark mode experiment” is coming to Chrome for Android
Google recently added a native dark mode to Chrome for macOS, but what many people are really looking for is a dark theme for the Android version of the browser. Following the same pattern that teased the addition of the dark mode to Chrome for macOS, Google confirmed that the Android app will get the long-awaited dark theme as well.

Recently spotted by 9to5Google in the Chromium Gerrit, the upcoming feature is described as a “dark mode experiment,” which means Google will soon start testing the Chrome for Android dark theme.

Unfortunately, rumor has it that Google plans to bring the dark mode to Chrome for Android along with the upcoming Android Q operating system, which might not happen until Q2-Q3. Or maybe Google won't hold back the release of the feature until the next version of Android goes official, and will make it available once tests are successfully completed.
