Custom ROM for Samsung ATIV S leaks

Custom ROM for Samsung ATIV S leaks
Looking to customize your Samsung ATIV S Windows Phone? Over at XDA Developers, a custom ROM authored by a developer named the WOLF unlocks the device and adds a number of new features. For example, flashing this ROM will remove the volume limit on the handset, allowing you to blast your music and other media. The ROM removes pre-pinned Samsung apps and other apps pre-loaded by the Korean manufacturer. Loading the ROM allows you to search using Google or Yandex. If both apps are installed, either one can be opened using the search key. And the ROM also gives you full access to APNs and Internet Sharing.

You can use a stock flasher (as opposed to a street flasher, which is something we all want to avoid seeing) and then perform a hard reset. While the CSC is based on Russian, the default language is English. Also, we need to give you the usual warnings. You really need to know what you're doing here or else you could end up with a Windows Phone paperweight, great for keeping papers from flying off your desk, but not really useful as a phone. Also, once you unlock your phone you will probably lose your warranty.

If you do happen to install the ROM, tell us all about it by posting a comment in the box below!

They are trying to do something to gain more market share, but the lack of apps anf games is holding them back.

How is that even remotely related to market share? It's a custom ROM by third party developers.

First off who is "they"? This has little if nothing to do with m$ or samsung. Your level of compression is bordering on moronic. We could use less new people when they are as dense as this guy.

I don't think removing the volume cap is a good idea.

Wow a custom rom for a Samsung WP. Just take a look at XDA and you'll see that most don't care enough to do anything with WPs.

Me either. Still can't match for android developers to continue creating custom roms for all kinds of phone. This is the power of openness, and so much freedom. I like android so much, I even suggesting people from buying android phones. : )

you all ppl are funny, i used s3,s4, and lots more android phones, and i have ativ s, and let me say that most of ppl dont instal costum rom, and in personal opinion wp8 is nicer then android yea it has less APPZ AND GAMEZZZ but it has all essential games and apps and this newspoints us that there might be custom ROM for wp8 and what is bad there, more competition between companies(apple, google,MS) is good for us end users because we get better product and you all should say hell yeah and not bash wp8 for being "bad" because of couple of things that he miss and that his competitors have (some people like me can overcome this probles and they dont mind them and like more wp8 then android) and for the end, dont think that i am wp8 fan, i know that right now android is beter BUT i hope that wp8 will chatch up and be real copetition, have a swell day ppl :P sorry for my grammar and typing mistakes my english is no good
