Circle June 26th on your calendar as the date the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 launches on Verizon
Looking to buy a new tablet? You might want to circle June 26th on your calendar. That is when the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0  will be launched via Verizon. We're talking about a tablet featuring an 8 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800. This works out to a pixel density of 189ppi. Under the hood is a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU with the Adreno 305 GPU crunching graphics.

1.5GB of RAM is onboard the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, along with 16GB of native storage. Of that total, 12GB is available to users, and a 64GB capacity microSD slot will expand memory if so desired. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 3MP and 1.3MP respectively. A 4450mAh battery keeps the lights on, and the slate comes out of the box with Android 4.4.2 pre-installed.

Some of the features that come with the tablet are Multi Window, for the power using multitaskers out there, and WatchON for those who love to channel surf from the coach. Also included with the tablet is Verizon Messages, which will sync with a smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is priced at $379.99. Those who sign up for a two-year contract can buy the tablet for $279.99. Verizon customers with a MORE Everything account, can add a tablet to their plan for just $10 more each month. And yes, the tablet supports Big Red's new zippy XLTE service.
