Best Buy CEO says "4G HTC EVO is the best selling device in Best Buy Mobile"

Without any official figures being mentioned regarding the HTC EVO 4G sales, people in the industry are really interested to know what kind of success is seen with the carrier's first 4G enabled smartphone. Consumers have probably been getting acquainted with the power packed handset as the device looks to be one hot item on the list of indirect dealers nationwide. However, Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn showered the handset with plenty of praise and adulation as the handset continues to sell very well for the consumer electronics retailer. Dunn went on to say during a conference call today that the “4G HTC EVO is the best selling device in Best Buy Mobile” and went on to add that “Android platform sales are outstanding.” Now it's tough to gather if he specifically mentioned it to be the best selling device in their history or as of right now. Nonetheless, words like these goes to show what kind of impact the HTC EVO 4G is making not only through direct channels, but indirect partners as well. As this hot summer continues to move forward with the iPhone 4 coming up soon, it'll be interesting to see what else Dunn will have to say when it's released.
