Beats Solo2 wireless headphones coming this month
A few days ago, we told you that a wireless version of the Beats Solo2 headphones had visited the FCC. Today, Beats has made it official. Later this month, the Beats Solo2 Wireless is expected to be available for $300. The "cans" will be offered in red, blue, black and white with a scarlet version exclusive to Verizon. The unit looks exactly like the wired version of the headphones, but comes with a special "b" button that allows you to skip tracks and handle phone calls.

The battery inside the unit will allow the headphones to give you as long as 12 hours of listening pleasure. A power cord can be used to plug in the headphones when the battery runs dry.

The Beats Solo2 Wireless is the first Beats product to be announced since Apple bought the company. The tech titan purchased Beats earlier this year for $3 billion, making it the largest acquisition ever done by the iPhone and iPad manufacturer. At the time that the deal was announced, it was believed that Apple was trying to focus on Beats Music. The streaming music business is still important to Apple, and the latter is trying to work out new deals with the record labels and artists in an attempt to cut the monthly price of the service in half.

I don't know...I have a pair of the older Beats and not too impressed. I bought a pair of Jabra headphones around 2010 for 50$ on Black Friday and they were much better IMO.

Same here I bought a monster then a bose headphone. I am not an audiophile but I was still able to hear the clear difference btw Bose and Monster. Monster may look good but their sound is definitely not up there with their price point.

Anyone forcing you to buy them? I doubt. Some people would pay premium for a brand name and the looks only.

Beats headphones don't even look premium. They have that ugly cheap shiny hard plastic construction. Yuck!

I am aware of snobbism. And no, no one is forcing me, I make educated, well informed, objective buying decisions.

"Premium" , what premium? Akg, Senhiser, Sony, Beyer, and others are premium. Not this BS, ripof.

Agreed. Pure ripoff with a ripoff company at the helm.

Interesting how Apple wants to cut prices everywhere where it doesn't impact their bottom line.

I don't why Apple bought this piece of s**t company. Those headphones are not worth $100. All they do is add bass and distortion to the sound which people think it sounds better. I bought the Studio beats and took them back after 3 days. Not worth it.

Something not that great quality which prob doesn't cost much to make and people are willing to pay to dollar for it and use them as fashion statements!!! ....mmmmm..!!? I wonder why Apple would be interested in such company!!!??

Anything Apple sees a company makes a small profit from another one they PUT big bucks and buys it. Just like HTC added BEATS speakers technology in their phones. And it's still a wast of money instead of using it for R&D
