Back of gold-colored Apple iPhone 7 poses for posterity?

Back of gold-colored Apple iPhone 7 poses for posterity?
We know that it is getting closer to September judging by the increased number of leaks we are seeing about the next iteration of the Apple iPhone. This morning a photo surfaced from China's Baidu, allegedly showing the back of the Apple iPhone 7. We can see the larger camera lens on the back, something that has appeared in previously leaked renders, schematics, sketches and photos.

We also can see that the old antenna lines are gone from the back, and have been moved to a location on the side just under each corner. And while it is hard to see the bottom of the phone, it looks like there isn't a 3.5mm earphone jack to be found (although a different angle would make this clearer). We can't tell from this picture, but there has been talk about Apple adding an IP certification to the iPhone 7, which would allow the tech titan to market the phone as water resistant. Recent models held up well against water, but without an IP rating, it is hard to advertise the phone's protection against H2O.

The color of the iPhone 7 in the picture is gold, and even though the device in the picture appears to have all of the changes we expect this year, we do recommend that you take it with a grain of salt.

Looks stupid with a bigger lens in the same spot. At least put it in the center so we can rock our phones back and forth on anything flat like the Note and Galaxy series.

Then people would claim they copied the One A9. I've never liked the placement all things considered, but they don't have many options at this point.

Most likely they'd find a way to claim HTC copied them.

I doubt that. Wasn't HTC the one going out of their way to prove they were first? I don't recall Apple ever saying anything regarding it, probably because they don't have to. If we're being honest, 60% of phone buyers don't know what an "HTC" is . Contrary to what us phone nerds believe, our opinions have little sway in the consumer world. -_-

Sad but true and anyway HTC and apple have a patent share deal including design.

Well likely yes, but it does seem odd that such a thing as a location of camera can be considered 'copied' both have the camera, where it sits is apparently 'important'?

Yawn.... Same old Apple design... And another iOS failure this fall, i can see the issues already and the immediate updates that fail just like the last two years??

Look at one of the pros, at least they'll be getting their new OS that was announced, right away :)

The worst part is the Android slow update defense crowd who will be like 'If you want fast updates, get a Nexus!!!' Like..how about no? Why aren't OEMs going head first on getting updates out sooner for those of us who just spent hundreds on their devices? Whether it be Samsung, LG, etc...getting so tired of waiting 6+ months just to have the latest version of Android.

Well aegis i am personally tired of dealing with unhappy client after iOS update breaking there devices. So i beleive a middle ground should exist. first step is to remove carrier from the equation ( you will save at least 50% of the wait time ) I dont want rushed update thats crash and create big issues like on iOS.

I used to Samsung device and move to HTC because everyone suggest me that HTC close to stock android skin is much better than TW & they are good at updates. I'd say no thank you, no more HTC or any stock experience for me. Guess it's my personal preference? but getting the latest updates for me it's just a number, while you know TW carry so much useful feature right? how many years for iOS/stock android user have to wait for multiwindows multitasking feature? It's not a defense, it's just a matter of preference, of course it's better if Samsung give their support bringing latest update for older device as well.

I dont want bugged OS right away i prefere to wait for month to get a real OS update whitout 30 bug fix patch after. Also look at one real pros you will be able to use your iphone 6 case lol.

Mororun. What you suggest isn't a choice - it's all you got - very late or no updates at all. As IOS user - I got updates instantly or install a little later or not at all - choice. To be honest reported problems with updates either iOS or android affect only a very small percentage of users - I haven't had issues that make my devices unusable or even remotely annoying - and usually if I found a glitch that bothered me - it got fixed within a week or two. But if I want the new forcetouch features on my device - I can have them right away (given I have the hardware to support it)- I don't have to wait for some manufacturer to update it, then, Saint for some carrier to approve it, then still get issues with the update - months or years after it was issued by Google. Oh yes, your entire post is vapor since even after since android had major issues with every update even after you "wait".

Don't even bother try reasoning with these people. They'll pull every excuse possible to explain why waiting six months for an update is worth it.

Updates for iOS is not the same as android, as with Apple updates they included things like music app updates and so on, I.e. The things you going to need and like Why android as updates that are very limited and most oem have the parts in there own skins anyways The core things get updated all the time like apps and google services to all phones and so on even if you do not get a direct android ver number update, also most oems will add more things to there skin within that Windows, so updates are just not the same at all, not even close, Samsung also keeps the phones updated and secure in most cases and then it's the networks errors if being slow, what ver of direct android they using is upto them as tw and so on have there own ver of the software and having the core ver of android means nothing as there is is TW us, they o lay using android core is so they can use the apps and Google play and that it, they remove it in sec's if that was not the case like the 1st gear

You do realize that Apple updates their apps and adds features just like Google with google services throughout the year. These 9.x.x or 8.x.x are always quick bug fixes - they almost always bring new feature either to core OS or individual apps. Oh and those that use google services and apps on iOS, also, YES ALSO get their individual apps and services updated - sometimes before android users, sometimes Google apps on iOS are better even. So, um, yeah.

Allegedly my foot, that's the phone. Too late in the game now, for BS. At least ios 10 looks great.

Bro, I'm feeling the tone in your post. This is obviously a fake photoshopped image compared to ther leaks (where the camera is aligned with the rounded corner and no longer has that metal ring around it (but a beveled chassis) - it does look batter than iPhone 6/6s; but overall this if that's the new device - it's lazy on apples part.

I think this is pretty much what we're gonna see in September. Apple, if this is true, is giving me every reason to wait till 2017. I've already seen the new Grace UI for the Note 7, and I think I'll be waiting for the Note 8. https://youtu.be/TC2UnT-XR-U

Hate to say Apple will never change sadly looks the same just the antenna line change and maybe i hear a lightning cable end for the headset I read on PA, that's stupid how you charge it while using the phone and as we all see the last year maybe two Samsung has wireless charging and Apple will never do?? And probably the same old boring UI background??? I see the note 7 looks great and my cash has been stashed away and ready for that, like always maybe next year Apple will do something maybe????? I don't think Tim Cook is doing well for Apple than came out with a 5SE?? Just a refurbished 5S with new parts inside lol Steve jobs would not allow Tim for what he has achieved especially the last two boring years..

Wonder what's the aperture and Pixel size.

Until we see an apple logo at the back, it jus a normal Chinese phone... meizu has a very close resemblance of iphone 7 renders. probably the design becomes obsolete in china when apple launches it! Its jus going to be a well familiar design! Atleast we look something on Pro model... but the price of 1300$ way too high for a mobile! Lets hope apple justifies this price with innovative features...
