Android software updates: Are you happy with your manufacturer? (Poll results)
This previous Monday, we wanted to know whether you thought that your manufacturer is doing a good enough job updating its proprietary version of Google's Android platform. This being a rather touchy subject for the Android faithful, most of you took the poll to heart and some even shared their personal experience with their particular device.

So, what is the count now that the vote's over? All told, a near half of you (47.19%) are unhappy with their maker, with Samsung leading the way in this rather negative ranking – out of the 1484 people that indicated that they have a Samsung phone, 1025 are unhappy with the rate at which Samsung releases subsequent updates to its TouchWiz Android. That's almost 70%. Sony has it better than Samsung, but out of the 612 owners, 281 (or 46%) are still unhappy with the Japanese maker's commitment to bringing them the latest and greatest in Android. LG, HTC, and especially Google and Motorola, all have significantly higher approval ratings in this particular metric.
