Android 4.4.2 rolls out OTA to AT&T's Samsung GALAXY Note II
Some owners of the AT&T branded Samsung GALAXY Note II phablet, are finding a notification on their screen. The message says that Android 4.4.2 has arrived on their device via an OTA update. The update includes quite a long changelist including a short cut that allows you to access the camera from the lock screen. After the update, when listening to music, you will be able to see full-screen album art and media controls.

Some of the improvements include expanded emoji icons, support for wireless printing over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and the inclusion of Beats Music on the phone. Close captioning can be turned on while using the video player, by going to Settings > My device > Accessibility > Google subtitles (CC) and Samsung subtitles (CC).

You can check out all of the new features for the Android 4.4.2 version of the Samsung GALAXY Note II by clicking on the sourcelink below.

Why does PA always include pictures of the device at the end of the article? Defeats the purpose of a hyperlink to the phone in the beginning of the article.

Did not know about the software update having been available since yesterday since I did not receive any kind of notification, but I checked earlier this morning for a software update (personally expecting a software update real soon ever since Verizon's GN2 having received it's software update the other day). Fortunately and lucky for me, I got the software update available message, and proceeded to find a 420+mb software update waiting to be downloaded. It took me about 10+ minutes to downloaded and another 2 ~ 3 minutes to restart and install, but seems to perform and run smoothly. Recognized the white notification bar, but not liking the camera shortcut or custom apps shortcut, as I would of love it if both can be enabled. Tested out the new changes done to playing music, as it does show the album art (full-screen), and media controls, like mentioned above. The Samsung-like, typical software changes were seen, but AT&T has yet to still bring back the Mobile Data toggle in the notification panel that I would really love to see once again, ever since the first software version, preinstalled on the GN2 when bought ~ two years ago.
