While not officially coming from HTC, someone who has had reliable HTC information in the past is saying that the
HTC One X will be receiving another update to
Android 4.2.2 this June or July. The rumor goes on to say that the update will include HTC Sense 5. While this news is not coming directly from the Taiwan based manufacturer, HTC has already said that all or part of Sense 5 will be sent out to the HTC One X, HTC One X+, HTC DROID DNA/Butterfly and the HTC One S.
While this sounds great in theory, consider that as soon as May at Google I/O, we could see the introduction of Android 5.0 also known as
Key Lime Pie which would mean that Android 4.2.2 would no longer be the latest build of the Android OS. But for those HTC One X and HTC One X+ owners who are locked in with their contract and can't buy the
HTC One, we're pretty sure that Sense 5 is gonna feel real good.
