Android 2.1 Test ROM for Sprint's HTC Hero gets leaked
At this point in the game, Sprint HTC Hero owners are now probably well adjusted in knowing that there may never be a concrete launch date for Android 2.1 making it to their devices. Actually, it's not too uncommon for other handset owners to feel the same way mainly due to the fact that these launches can come out of nowhere. Sprint HTC Hero owners who are sick of waiting for this to finally land can check out the official test ROM that was recently leaked. The people over at XDA Developers played a part in getting this beloved ROM out to the people who have been eagerly awaiting for some form of Android 2.1 for their handsets. Word of caution if you do plan on doing this – it's a pretty involved process and probably best left for the experienced users out there. Worse yet, attempting to install it could lead to a nasty consequence that'll render your smartphone useless.
