Alleged Pixel XL 2 case compared to original Pixel and Galaxy S8 – yeah, it's big

So, it has been reiterated time and again by the rumor mill that we will be seeing a Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 — a compact and a super-sized flagship by Google, just like last year. It's expected that they will have the new 18:9 display ratio, which seems to be hip and cool in 2017, and it's still unclear how that would impact their physical sizes.

A series of images compare a Galaxy S8 and a 2016 Pixel to what is allegedly a case for the upcoming Pixel XL 2. Now, that's all well and good, and you can take a look at the photos below, but we couldn't help but notice a headphone jack cutout on the black case. According to several sources, Google is planning to go the Apple way and do away with the 3.5 mm jack, so either the rumors are wrong, or this case is a sham.

On the other hand, you will notice that there are no openings for a speaker grille on the bottom or back. This falls in line with leaks and rumors that the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 would have front-facing stereo speakers. So... it's a 50/50?

That is too big for me. I hope that both this and that pixel 2 leak with huge bezels is fake.

So in other words roughly the same size as the original Pixel XL, but with a much bigger screen? Sounds good to me. Now if the phones being used to compare were the Pixel XL and the S8+, I could see the exclamation "yeah, it's Big" (that's what she said), but it doesn't really make sense here.

Well, yeah... It's the 'XL'. It's supposed to be a phablet.

Dumb comparison. Why use the smaller original Pixel instead of the original Pixel XL to compare to the new one? Clearly the difference will be less than it seems.
