Acer unveils the Liquid Leap+ Smart Activeband, a multi-OS activity and sleep-tracking accessory
At MWC 2015, Acer announced an upgrade to its Liquid Leap smartband. The Acer Liquid Leap+ communicates with Android, iOS, and Windows devices and uses a 1-inch OLED display (128x32 pixels) to beam information from its biometric sensors, as well as music controls and notifications from your smartphone. It also monitors the wearer's sleep patterns on top of things like the number of steps, burned calories, and swimming pool activity.

The device has an estimated battery life of 5 to 7 days. Its wristband is made of colored rubber, while the smart module has a curved surface designed to minimize skin contact with the wearer. Additionally, the Liquid Leap+ is waterproof.

Acer's new smart band will be sold in the Europe, Africa, and Middle East region, priced at about 79 EUR. It isn't known whether Acer will be bringing it to the United States.
