A 'Year in Entertainment'”: Google infographic reveals the best Play apps, games, music and TV for 2014

For the first time ever, Google has released a trendy infographic that pegs the best in entertainment, as dropped by the stats in the Play Store. The best in apps, games, movies, TV series and books offered in the Android ecosystem has been listed for the world to see, and some of the top performers are pretty surprising.

The year's app category that showed the most explosive growth is the health and fitness one, for instance, while the obscure "Don't tap on the white tile" game occupies second place, right after Candy Crush. When it comes to music, the fastest-growing category is soundtracks (duh), while Iggy Azalea's Fancy has been declared the best summer tune (say what now?). TMZ is one of the best news sources of the year, right after NYT, while Walking Dead has been the most downloaded show of the year, according to the Play Store's rankings.
