The official Samsung Galaxy S8 event poster leaks on Twitter

Another day, another Galaxy S8 leak. This time, Chinese serial leakster Ice universe managed to get a hold of the official announcement poster for the handset which is supposed to have its premiere at two dedicated events in London and New York on March 29th.

With this poster, Samsung is trying to focus our attention on a few things – the Seoul-based manufacturer clearly takes pride in the edge-to-edge design of the Galaxy S8, as the outline of the phone is accentuated with various metallic hues. The big "S" in the middle indicates that the illustrated handset is indeed a Galaxy S smartphone, while at the bottom, one can see that the S8 will be available in April.

Although the exact release date isn't specified here, according to tipster Even Blass and KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we can expect the Galaxy S8 to hit the shelves on April 28th, with the device possibly being released a week earlier in the USA and South Korea.

No, the Note is the boss, the S8 will be the Manager.

The problem with the note 8 this year is that it will be too big seeing that the s8+ is 6.2 and already bigger than the note 7, judging by the pictures that was posted here on pa. The note 8 by itself will even be bigger making it more unappealing to the masses. Its thesame reason the s models have always sold better than the note models, by a distance. Too bad.

It won't be too big. If the Note 5 is 5.7 and my A7 is 5.5 and the Note 5 is tiny than my A7, Samsung is going to utilize the home screen button space and the logo space to stretch the screen.

Doubt it, they'd probably stick to the 6.2 inch size and add an S-Pen, fingerprint scanner under the display and other UI features.

do you think they could go with a slightly bigger screen then the s8+ but have a wider display but the same size as s8+, being a so called productivity device and all they might choose not to have such an elongated screen

not necessarily. It could continue its current frame, which would make it wider and slightly shorter, paper like demensions... which would be good for business/art use. There's nothing that says it has to be the biggest phone samsung has.

The Note 7s is gonna be the same size as the S8+...but likely with a 4K display.

Also the S8+ is actually about the same size as the iPhone Plus models which have a much smaller display.

I've never seen you say the iPhone Plus was a already too big phone. Ever!

At least be consistent.

The Note 7 is a big phone. Considering the display is 5.7 vs 5.5 iof the iPhone Plus, why is the iPhone so much bigger and bulkier.

That's the advantage of the edge. Bigger display, less bulk on the design. Looks smaller, feels smaller is smaller.

The Note 7 and S6/S7 edge models all feel sexy and nice, The iPhone 6/6S/7 Plus all feel like over-sized bulldozers in the hand.

The important thing about the s8 is the camera. I expect a much better camera than the S7. The rest is OK.

It'll be way too over priced compared to G6 for sure. I know what Samsung is gonna do....lol That design isn't gorgeous either. It's very odd looking.

How did they copy. The S8 is already in production.

How woudl Samsung have seen the G6 before release to copy it? That's stupid.

They only look similar because of the display.

The S8 is gonna blow the G6 out the water in EVERYTHING!

The S8 will take better picture, will have a better display, better battery-life, better and more features and more.

I hardly think something that is "better" is a copy.
If you lie the G6, buy it. Its available now to buy and enjoy.

The S8 is not a copy by a longshot!
