Qualcomm shows how its 2010 Snapdragon chip destroys this year's Intel Atom (video)

Qualcomm has released one of the hottest chip on the market, the 28nm Snapdragon S4 to devices this year and it has already become the silicon of choice for virtually all smartphone gear in the States, but on the other side of the fence there are other companies like Intel desperately trying to enter the mobile market.

The Intel Atom Z2460 Medfield platform is Intel’s big push into mobile with decent battery life and performance, but how exactly does it rank against current ARM chips? Truth is, it still has some catching up to do, and Qualcomm is taking advantage of this in the video below.

In it, the chip maker compares the Medfield chip not with its latest, but with last year’s hardware on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S. And what's more - the device runs on the 2010 Snapdragon S2, a chip released two years prior to the Atom. Still, it just destroys the Intel Atom chip demonstrated on what looks like a similar to Intel’s reference design phone. Check it all out after the source.
