Huawei teases CES 2016 announcements: Mate 8, new tablet, and new smartwatch included
Huawei will hold a press conference tomorrow at CES 2016, and, according to the company's Facebook page, one of the things that it's going to announce is related to the Mate 8 - a large smartphone that was first unveiled back in November.

Last month, we told you that Huawei was getting ready to release the Mate 8 in the US, and tomorrow we might find out exactly when, and for how much the handset will be available.

As you may know, the Mate 8 is an Android Marshmallow-based device that sports a 6-inch 1080p display, and is made out of metal. The handset uses Huawei's own octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz - which, according to the company, should offer "power and efficiency."

As you can see in the teaser images included below, Huawei is also getting ready to announce a new tablet that's all about "rhythm and entertainment." Moreover, a new Huawei smartwatch should be showcased tomorrow as well.

Yesterday, we heard that Huawei may also announce the P9 at CES 2016. However, this smartphone (which will succeed last year's Huawei P8) may actually be unveiled a bit later, possibly in March. Needless to say, we'll let you know all about Huawei's new announcements from CES 2016 as soon as we can.

so phablet, tablet and watch will see the launch. Huawei P9 will definetely be powered by either unannonced Kirin 960 at their home or the well known SD820 in the international market

I Thought The P9 Was Rumored To Be Powered By The K950, What's This About A K960?

Judging from previous Kirin offering, the K960 might just be a clock bumped K950 (Ala K930-935).

The problem with the new K950 (~92,000 Antutu score) is the GPU as usual, the T880 is powerfull but only applied with 2 Cores in the case of the Mate 8. then again its only 1080p, so that might save it.

The k920,930,940, And 950 Are All Different. I Would think The k960 Would Just Be A Clock Speed Bump. Also The Mali T880 Mp4 Has 4 Cores Right? I Didn't Think It Was 2.

If it is launched in the US, will it be possible to unlock the bootloader and root it? I'm not that familiar with their Kirin processors. I like their phones especially after their most recent offerings.

I don't think this will sell very much in the US as long as Americans can't pronounce the company's name that makes the Mate 8. Unfamilarity breeds skepticalism.
