First spy shots of Motorola CABO i890

This article contains unofficial information.
In the end of January, the first information on the CABO appeared, revealing something hard to believe – a well-looking, feature-rich iDEN phone. The slim clamshell seemed as the iDEN-variant of the RAZR2, but coming branded under the CABO series. Its model number is expected to be i890, so it may be known as the Motorola CABO i890.
Now, EngadgetMobile posted the first spy shots of the i890, revealing it really is in the works. The new phone is in a piano black reflective finish, instead of the dark bronze pictured earlier, but we can expect plenty of color options from such device. It seems that its internal keypad is like the “unique one” of the ROKR E8, visualizing different keys, depending on the menu you are in. The first photo revealed touch buttons around the large external display, and we hope they will be included in the final version. The camera has the non-standard 3.1-megaipixel resolution.
There is no new information on the availability of this yet-unannounced phone, but it was previously said to be released in the fourth quarter. Sprint Nextel is most probably the carrier to offer it first in the U.S.

I really hope that Motorola makes a GSM version of this, I don't care for iDEN.

There are other iDEN networks in the world outside of Nextel USA. This will be welcomed by many countries inlcuding the USA. I can't wait to try it out myself! :-)
