Awesome Unique phone with a few dissapointments
tournelhenry has owned it for less than month before publishing this review
For a midrange device, its performance is great. It a little to big and too thick, but other than that it's convenient for everyday use. You get less bloatware and large internal memory with expansion.
Mine is the dual sim version. I'm happy you don't need a sim slot pin to remove the sim slot. Your fingernails are enough. Also, it's one of the few phones out there that retains a dedicated dual SIM slot and dedicated microSD slot. The only down side to me is that you can't take out the SD card without taking out the SIM too. And the phone restarts when you attempt to do this. It's slate shape with no camera bump or notches make it look good and it can stand vertically on it's bottom.
As for audio, the phone itself has an equaliser in the settings you can take advantage of. And it supports aptX. So, your bluetooth headsets will show great quality. The default Video play back app sucks to me, but I used VLC in its place which is better off.Unfortunately, it only has one speaker
Camera is actually super dissapointing. Take it from a previous Windows Phone user. The so-called manual mode on it isn't actually manual. It only allows you adjust White balance and Exposure. The ISO and Shutter speed can't be adjusted independently. As soon as you tap one of them, the other switches to auto mode immediately.
The auto mode is fine and the dual Selfie cameras are awesome. But, I'm not a selfie person. So, that's useless to me
It's okay for the average person as the battery life is insanely long. The apps run smoothly and is fine if you use Google services and a lot of apps for everything. The only problem is it's thick size. It's hard to hold and you'll need big pockets. One thing to note is that it also doesn't get too hot like most other phones when gaming.
My rating here may be biased as I came over from a Windows phone with a smoother keyboard. I don't know how this compares with other Androids. But I found both the Google keyboard and the Swiftkey keyboard a bit difficult to use. The ".com" sign doesn't appear in browsers
It may not be QHD or OLED, but everything appears like it is. I was surprised.
I think this is the best feature on this phone. My battery could last a whole day with heavy usage (without gaming)
Awesome display. Behaves like OLED
Dual front facing cameras. One functions as Wide angle for groupies
