iOS 10 is now installed on 60% of active Apple mobile devices
In the time since iOS 10's release (October 11), the latest iteration of Apple's mobile operating system is installed on no less than 60% of all active iOS device globally. Alas, the update seems to be reaching devices slower than iOS 9 did last year – it took version 9 as little as three days to reach 50% of active devices.

As iOS 10 spreads to more devices, the presence of iOS 9 has dropped down to 32% since iOS 10 launched on October 11, while earlier versions remain installed on 8% of active devices.

Apple announced this information today, at the unveiling of its new MacBook Pro line-up. The latest version of iOS is 10.1, released this Monday. It added the Portrait Mode to the iPhone 7 Plus' camera, along with a substantial number of improvements and fixes to the core functionality, Maps, and Messages.

Excellent phone my dude, but sorely needs split screen slide over, and picture in picture. Apple Pencil compatability wouldn't hurt either. I'm not disappointed with it at all, as far as what it brings to the table.

He doesn't believe it. His brain can't digest the actuality of a person liking iOS and android.

I was called a Samsung fanboy when I said that damaging pay is better than Apple pay because it works in more locations. These guys just look for trollwars within any comment they see.

60%? That's all? 2 new devices per year. 1 major software update per year. And only 60%?

I swear it's because they changed how you unlock the phone. Still the only reason I haven't and will not convert... I've made that mistake before

How do you prefer to unlock your phone?

I guess it is only me who finds it ugly and useless. Bring back slide to unlock. The notifications are too blocky and ugly - whoever designed those needs to be fired. I don't want to have to have a notification screen on the unlock screen if I am not using the fingerprint reader. Widgets are nothing compared to android and I'm not an android fan most of the time etc etc
