Xiaomi is announcing something on July 16, can we safely say Mi 5 & Mi 5 Plus?

Xiaomi has just announced that it has something in tow for the public and is poised to announce it on July 16. Invites for the event have already been sent out, teasing that something pretty thin might be incoming.

Call it wishful thinking, but we suppose that the purpose of this event could be the announcement of the Xiaomi Mi 5 and probably the Mi 5 Plus, the company's next flagship device, which is to succeed the Xiaomi Mi 4.

Although we heard that the Xiaomi Mi 5 might get announced in late November, there's always the chance that the anticipated handset could get introduced on the July 16 event. 

As far as specs are concerned, we already have a pretty good idea what to expect. In particular, a Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3 gigs of RAM, 16MP rear/13MP front-facing selfie snapper, as well as a 3,000mAh battery, and Android 5.1 Lollipop are all expected to make an appearance. The anticipated price tag is $386, but as usual, that's just a speculation.
