Windows Phone 8.1 app coming for FitBit wristbands
If you're a Windows Phone user jealous at your iOS and Android totin' pals for their ability to sync their devices with a health-oriented fitness band, FitBit is about to come to your emotional rescue. The manufacturers behind the FitBit fitness band are planning on launching an app for Windows Phone 8.1 that will allow users of the platform to sync with the FitBit Force, FitBit Flex and the FitBit One.
The plans were announced by FitBit in the community forums on the company's website. In a thread dedicated to a possible Windows Phone app for the FitBit, the company added a message that read, "Fitbit is developing an application for Windows Phone 8.1. Thank you for all your feedback and support!"
So far, there is no word when the app will be ready, nor is there any indication what features it will have. Nice to see a wearables manufacturer adding support for Microsoft's mobile OS.
