Will.i.am to release smartwatch this July, that can connect to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
Black Eyed Peas' member Will.i.am is known for carrying around a BlackBerry. Back in 2012, we showed you how he held a BlackBerry Torch to text with, while holding the Olympic Torch in the other hand. The year before, he pulled a BlackBerry out of his pocket mid-song when he forgot the words to a song during a concert.

The singer has developed tech products before, with the 2012 release of a third-party 14MP camera module for the Apple iPhone. Now, Will.i.am is planing to release a smartwatch this July. He showed off the phone on television during Alan Carr's show: Chatty Man. The watch was funded entirely by Will.i.am, and unlike many other smartwatches on the market, it is not necessary to pair it with a smartphone.

Will.i.am's smartwatch streams music using a Bluetooth connection and can even make calls by itself. He also claims that the watch can connect to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. A couple of tweets sent by the singer after his appearance on the show, indicate a July launch for the device. No pricing was disclosed.

Artist should stick to music. Let manufactures make the technology.

Actually, most musicians/artists are pretty damn intelligent human beings. It takes a human being to think of an idea before it is put on paper and long before it is manufactured.
