Watch Samsung Gear VR powered by a Galaxy Note 4 surprise just about everyone, “Too real!”

Samsung’s Gear VR looks like it brought its “A-game” to the market, immersing its wearer into a new world of games, panoramic views, and apps from the Oculus VR app store. Gear VR is available now for just $200, and as long as you own a Galaxy Note 4 smartphone, we expect you will find some great sources of entertainment.

There is something to be said about how other people react to such technology though, and the Gear VR is no different. You can be looking around, up or down, swimming with the fishes, or looking at a helicopter. One woman proclaims, “This is too real!” Another fella gets caught off guard when he spots a shark. The general consensus seems to be, “Oh wow!”

Available now is the Gear VR “Innovator Edition” which looks to be a fairly polished Beta for the product. It is certainly more accessible than the Google Glass Explorer project, and as long as you have a Note 4, this new edge technology is sure to be something to behold.

While developers build content for Gear VR, early adopters can access tools to create their own experience. Samsung’s Milk Music and Video service is available as Milk VR, Oculus has a number of 360-degree videos, and the Oculus Cinema lets you view your own movie files along with number of other video content. Of course, there are games too, and the Samsung Gamepad (sold separately) should let you take on all the action.

If you want to learn more, check out our hands-on from IFA 2014 (we said “wow” too). Is Gear VR on your “must have” list?

Wow, and there you go again, weren't you trying to teach people how not to hate? Start learning the lesson yourself and then go preaching. How hypocrite is your second comment here now?http://www.phonearena.com/news/Strategy-Analytics-Apple-and-Samsung-tie-for-global-smartphone-supremacy-in-Q4_id65328

Then use it inside.. It's not something to "wear", it's not a fashion accessory. It's an experience unlike anything. Edit: Stop being an iDiot.

Unlike anything? You mean unlike anything since 1990? This has been around a long long time, but now the system is more powerful with better graphics capabilities.

They need 4K screen for better image quality. But much better processor/GPU to run that games at least 45 fps.

WTF. I would never use this in the public while walking on the street, crossing on the stop light. This may cause your death if you wear this.

That's clearly not its intended use. You can't seriously be that dense.

I know but showing this into the public where you can see many people outside. What does it mean to you? I know it's codus for Samsung.

This is VR device not AR. You can't walk with it.

I cant wait for mainstream AR. For a medical use, I could see people wiith Alzheimers wearing AR and it helping them remember things in their environment.
