Verizon's signup page for the LG G2 is live

When LG showed off their new G2 smartphone earlier this month, they stated that it would be available from all major US carriers. After which, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon announced they would all carry it.

Today, Verizon's signup page is now live for the LG G2:

Which Verizon smartphone are you most interested in, the LG G2, HTC One, Motorola Ultra/Maxx/Mini, or Moto X?

Wow. I wasn't expecting Verizon to jump on the G2 right away. It'll be pretty funny if their G2 appears before the One. That would be a serious F U to HTC. Dammit.. now I'm actually considering the G2 over the Maxx.

I've had the g pro For a few months, and with a 5.5" FHD and and 600 processor 3150mah battery life is slightly above average. The G2 battery life will definitely be a struggle. The G Pro is a awesome device though.

I'm surprise that you're still considering it because there isn't any comparison to be made when you look at the specs. That's really embarrassing for Moto to put out a high end phone and try to pass it off with sub par specs. The only advantage that the Maxx has on the G2 is battery life. If battery life is very important to you, then the Maxx might be the best option for you.

The Maxx is much, much closer to stock, and the matte Kevlar finish is really nice. Otherwise yes, the G2 has it beat, but I'm putting a lot of weight on interface and timely OS updates.

If you actually take time to research what the the new DROID lineup offers as opposed to generalizing them with numbers that don't present how advanced the new Droids actually are, then you might not make such a statement. The new Droids have 8 processors to run different parts of the phone separately. Not one quad-core to to allocate space. Thus increasing the speeds of the phone. How do you think the Droids best the S4 in speed tests with the 1.7 dual core as opposed to a 1.9 quad-core? An 8 core processing system is a lot more advanced than a quad-core. In addition the 720p screen requires even less power to run, thus increasing speeds further. And it's pretty much common knowledge that in screen sizes that small the average human eye cannot differentiate between 720 and 1080. Especially the naked human eye... So what's better about it? Not to mention the LG and Samsung antennas both perform pretty poorly on the Verizon network, especially in low service areas. The Motorola phones are actually one of the best performers on the Verizon network, usually ranking near the top or at the top.

You are so right about the signal reception with Samsung at least..I've had the s3 and now the s4, I don't know what i was thinking getting a samsung again. ALWAYS laggy, poor signal reception, Wifi reception is a joke too. Thankfully I am a silver member at best buy so i have 60 days to return this phone...I'm hoping the One comes out by then. I just love the boomsound really. :)

Please help me decide which to get : The HTC One or the LG G2. I had my heart set in the HTC One , but after seeing those thin bexels and the large display in the LG G2 , am now in a quandry as to which one I will get. I love the looks of the HTC One , but I also love the LG G2 to death. Neither are at Verizon as of yet , but they will be there. Wish I could just get them both.

If you don't feel the need for Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) SoC, then there is no other big reasons not to choose HTC One. (My opinion!)

The screen size is an important factor too. Screen quality I expect to be similar, but 5.2" is significantly bigger than 4.7". Given that the phone isn't much larger than the One, LG crammed a lot of real estate in.

I agree that screen size is important too. In my oppinion HTC One is better looking phone. Also HTC One doesn't have awkward and in my opinion uncomfortable to use buttons on the back. Also HTC One has awesome front facing speakers with Beats Audio and one, but not less important thing that HTC has better software support than LG (fact based on the past). Thing which disappoints me about HTC One is 4 MP camera. :(

I'm _hoping_ LG's Nexus experience speeds up their update process. I can't vouch for HTC though, because I have a pre-One X phone and thus haven't seen JB. I agree that the design and materials of the One are to die for, but camera quality and screen size are pretty serious considerations too. Front speakers are nice but add a bit of heft to what should be a midsize device. At least LG didn't put the speakers on the back.

I'm more interested in Sony i1 (a.k.a. Honami) and upcoming new flagship from HTC (but not a phablet). :)

I'm not expecting the i1 on Verizon. They only carried one Sony in the last 5 years, the Xperia Play, and it flopped hard. I know Sony has its fans around here, but it has no clout with the US carriers.

I really thought they would enter into the market for 2013 with a quad core processor of some sort, not last year technology.

More unfounded Motorola bashing? Let it go, folks.

HTC what? Terrible timing to be launching within the Verizon network (is it really going to be released? ha...). LG G2, Moto X, Droid lineup, and Note 3 are really ruining the appeal of the One. Aluminum and front facing audio are the only things going for it now.

#Stilloneofthebestof2013. Let your HTC hate go bro. Their phone is still more beautiful than some phones coming out in the near future. The note 3 isn't a phone, it's basically a tablet. Samsung is like apple, they change nothing. I hope their new touch wiz is cluttered with even more useless features!! The droid line up has nothing to offer. The new max is 300$ for last years phone with slightly better battery. Moto x, well lets be honest it's ugly and not heavy on power. The One will never look like a bad phone, sorry. Even in 2014 it will be ahead of the competition in looks

Wonder if that will increase the thickness much. I agree, it's nice to have, and on top of the juicy battery it's one more area where it rivals the capabilities of the Maxx.
