Verizon releases the Samsung Omnia II on 1 November?
This article contains unofficial information.
Samsung showcased the said handset with Verizon“s logo on it at CTIA Fall 2009, but failed to mention anything about possible release date or retail price. At least we know the American version of the Omnia II will be identical to the European and we will be able to enjoy the beautiful 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel camera capturing videos at resolution of 720x480 pixels and great multimedia capabilities of device really soon. According to information gathered at the above-mentioned event, the Omnia II will be running Windows Mobile 6.1 and a software update to version 6.5 will become available later on. However, we tend to think this is precisely the reason behind the market delay and Verizon will release the handset with WM6.5. Anyway, we are bound to find out whether or not this is the case soon, perhaps in just 14 days.
