Transformers: Forged to Fight makes its way to Android and iOS

Kabam teased the release of their new game Transformers: Forged to Fight last month and said it will be available for Android and iOS devices this Spring. Earlier today, the new Transformers game was made available in the Google Play and App Store.

As the name suggests, Transformers: Forged to Fight is a fighting game where you can battle other players in real-time. You'll be able to choose from any of the popular characters in the Transformers universe, including Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Waspinator, Rhinox, Grimlock, and Soundwave.

Developer Kabam added a thin layer of RPG elements, so you'll be able to ready your own gauntlet of bots and defenses to protect your base, as well as get revenge on those that attack and raid enemy bases. Transformers: Forged to Fight allows players to team up with their friends in guilds and battle in global events.

Keep in mind that while the game is available for free, it features optional in-app purchases. More importantly, Wi-Fi or cellular connection is required in order to play Transformers: Forged to Fight.

Phone creators really need to release their phones with a game controller, just a basic bluetooth one, with a clip to hold phone, and take advantage of more games getting released.

Surprised that hasn't gone mainstream. There must be some kind of unofficial or nonpublic agreement with the console companies.

1. it will increase production cost and manufacturers hate that 2. it will also increase that phone price, and customers won't like that too 3. it's for niche market, not all gamers need physical controller and there are already gazillions of 3rd party controller out there... (I'm more interested if they make something like xperia play, with 5.7inch screen, front-facing stereo speaker, 5000mAh battery)

"More importantly, Wi-Fi or cellular connection is required in order to play Transformers: Forged to Fight." Huh? Won't waste data on this stuff... Not worth it.

"Earlier today, the new Transformers game was made available in the Google Play and App Store." I downloaded it from the Play store about a month ago. Tried it for about 10 minutes, and uninstalled it. It was...dull.
