T-Mobile officially announces that the Garminfone will be launching on June 9 for $199.99
We've seen plenty of leaks that hinted to a $200 on-contract price for the navigational oriented T-Mobile Garminfone, but its release date has been heavily debated – especially when it is planning for a June release which is already littered with other handsets. This time though, the cat is finally out of the bag as T-Mobile confirmed its $199.99 pricing with a 2-year agreement after a $50 mail-in-rebate and a launch date of June 9th. The last time we heard something regarding its release was in a leaked document that displayed its price and a launch happening for June 2nd. For those who plan on passing up on Sprint's HTC EVO 4G, the T-Mobile Garminfone is priced at the same level as Sprint's behemoth, but its features may seem more attractive to some consumers out there. It features a 3.5” touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, and its undeniably fine tuned GPS and navigational features that you'd expect out of a Garmin branded handset. Already it's looking to become a better handset than AT&T's Garmin Nuvifone G60 that failed to achieve some success.
