Spare parts for Apple iPhone 5S leak out; no fingerprint scanner revealed
Pictures of what are alleged to be spare parts for the Apple iPhone 5S give us a revelation. Apparently there will be no fingerprint scanner on the phone, at least not one that is connected to the Home button. Last month, the oft-rumored fingerprint sensor was blamed for a slowdown in production of the next iteration of the iPhone. Even PayPal's Chief Information Security Officer hinted that the feature was coming.

The parts that we are happy to pass along to you are said to include the Apple iPhone 5S card holder, the charger connector flex for the device, the front camera flex, the Home button flex, speaker button, vibrator flex, Wi-Fi flex, On-Off flex cable and the Speaker flex. According to the latest word we have, Apple will introduce the Apple iPhone 5C and the Apple iPhone 5S on September 28th with a launch on the 27th of the same month.

That was the only part I was looking for... Besides the finger scanner, there's really no more innovation besides a specs increase and a whole lot of other baloney :/ was considering this because Moto X will be too expensive off-contract and on.

Welcome to apple, this has been the issue. People shouldn't expect any crazy hardware changes when iOS 7 is the point of this year.....i personally think it time they stepped away from their "hardware year, software year" strategy, at least till they even out the field, but thats up to them.

All I would really expect out of apple right now is a quad core cpu and better cameras.

Fingerprint scanners are completely useless. My college roommate had one on his laptop. He activated it so instead of typing in your password, you use the scanner. It was only a matter of time until he had to print out his paper for class and the fingerprint scanner wouldn't read. He ended up getting points taken off for a late paper. Obviously this exact scenario wouldn't happen for the iPhone, but I could definitely see similar issues with the scanner not reading. With that being said, and as an Apple fan, I'm once again highly disappointed in the lack of changes from the 5 to the 5S. iOS7 should be beautiful, but the device itself is just, blah.

Not to give Apple too much credit, but you really think they'd overlook something like that? Every phone has back up ways in.

Of course!! Do you think it is easy for the majority of its users who have ARTHRITIS to use the finger print scanner?

I don't get it... They're going to announce the phones on September 28 and release them one day before they announce them on September 27???
