Some of them are Sony playing the catch-up game with the competition, others are ahead of others, and there are the plain weird functions that are Xperia-exclusive right now, and we are not sure if anyone else would lift them. Let's take a look at what makes the Xperia XZ2 special!

1080p 960fps is the only advantage it has over the S9 tbh.... rest are gimmicks, just proprietary terms or which are actually also available on other phones.

Best updates? More battery? Speed wireless charging? 3D creator (sure that’s not gimmicky and can’t be done with other apps) ? Dynamic vibration, not gimmicky? I had the Xperia Z5, so I do know what X-reality does first hand, tbh, it’s nothing mind boggling, it’s mostly makes color saturation better with sharpening sometimes, but it only works with Sony apps, basically, it won’t work with YouTube, or google photos etc. 4K HDR video recording is interesting, I missed that some how, thx for reminding me.

Other than what Ciro100 said 4K HDR camcoder is also a great new feature 3D avatars isn't that great but the camera can take 3D shapes of many objects and make it printable ,I don't think Galaxy S9 can do that.

Lol you wrong the for video recording 4K HDR is actually far more usefull than super slow motion video or even 4K@60fps

I see absolutely no point to choose this over XZ1. Design is ugly and looks like Nokia/HTC, there is no headphone jack, camera will probably still give the same mediocre results that XZ1 did and it's a shame because I always liked Sony phones but with XZ2 they are just blindly following others

i feel like people will still hold on to that headphone jack... that is the only thing missing on this phone....

You people should start get into it because there will be no more headphone jacks in the future.

The vibration thing is like the Nokia 3220 with its flashing lights and in sync vibration.

Does it have tap to wake and tap to close? What about using the fingerprint sensor to pull down notification?

At least the finger scanner is in a good place and the volume rocker also not in the left like on Samsung and iPhone what I just never understood why. So awkward position or they thought people use phone with left hand? .

Unless you lost your thumb or it's too short it doesn't matter which side is.

It's ahead of the game in some ways.

I love what Sony has done with its design. I actually liked the older bricks, but this is bold and contemporary. I have one personal problem though. This design oddly reminds me of the current HTC style, and I hate HTC!
