Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, and Z3 Tablet Compact price and release date
Good old Sony has been like a clockwork when it comes to minute details about its newest gear specifications and pricing. The Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, and Z3 Tablet Compact are already up for preorder on all major country branches websites of Sony Mobile, though their release date is shrouded in the "autumn" period so far, which could be two weeks or two months from now. Actually, Sony gives a firmer timeframe for the tablet in its press release, pegging it for a launch in the "end of Q3," which means we could see the trio hit the shelves at some point next month, just in time for the holiday shopping craze.
In any case, while mum's the word on any release stateside, the Z3 series is listed with the following prices in Europe - €649,00 or £549 for the Xperia Z3 without subsidies, €499 or £429 for the 4.6" Z3 Compact, and, finally, €379 or £329 for the slimmest, lightest 8" waterproof slate, the Xperia Z3 Tablet compact. Thus, Sony is pricing its six-month flagship upgrade in a pretty traditional way, and those prices, if the Z3 series gear ever makes it to this side of the pond, are likely to translate in the same amounts, but in good ol' US dollars, as is customary with these electronics pricing schemes.
