Sony Xperia XZ Premium hits the shelves in Europe on June 1

Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the first flagship smartphone announced this year that packs Qualcomm's powerful Snapdragon 835 processor. Although Samsung's Galaxy S8 and S8+ are the first Snapdragon 835-based phones to hit the shelves, Sony's flagship can't come soon enough.

We've been reporting about the upcoming availability of the Xperia XZ Premium and learned the smartphone would be launched in select European markets in June.

It appears that at least one carrier in Germany has just confirmed the Xperia XZ Premium will be in the hands of customers on June 1. Major carrier O2 will probably be followed by other network operators and retailers in the country, but details about price haven't been disclosed.

In our most recent report about the Xperia XZ Premium, we've mentioned that Sony plans to launch a Bronze Pink color variation, but it's unclear what countries will get this particular model.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium is already available for pre-order in the UK for £649. At least three retailers in the country are now offering the smartphone, but neither will ship it until early June.

I was thinking of buying this instead of the GS8+ at first because my S6 edge was still running smooth, but I just couldn't wait another 2 months. Good luck to Sony, but I don't think this will sell well at this stage.

I think it will. Including this, there will be only 2 SD 835 powered devices available.

@Raj, Dude, He is just trolling. He is well known samsung fanboy and a sony hater. Don't believe his phony talk. He would never buy a sony phone over a samsung phone.

Why you starts butthurt while a Samsung fanboy wants to buy a Sony phone? Every consumer has their own decision. And how you know that he would never buy a Sony phone? Because he's Sammy? If I am Apple fanboy and I want to buy a Huawei smartphone, would you butthurt too?

why do sony always announce phones and release them six months later. This happens every year.

Because they are incompetent... You're absolutely right, they announced the phone at MWC2017 and they release it in June at best, because 1st of June will not be a global launch... I mean after 6 months everyone has galaxies and lgs.. And i bet until it will really hit the shelves everywhere at least 2 other phone brands will release something new which will hurt their sales.

I don't think this was going to sell regardless of release date. Yes 4K display might be tempting but it's also quite a large phone for the display size. The bezeless phones really ruins the design of these non bezeless phones.
