Sony Smartwatch 3 now available for preorder through Verizon
We've seen updates start pushing out to the LG G Watch and the Moto 360 that adds the expected functionality for offline music, and the update also brings support for GPS in Android Wear devices, but none of the current set of devices has that hardware. Now, the first Android Wear device with built-in GPS has gone up for preorder through Verizon.

The Sony Smartwatch 3 is the first Android Wear device from Sony, and it isn't just the first Android Wear device with built-in GPS. It is also the first Android Wear device that features an NFC chip for easy pairing with your smartphone. And, it is the first to use a 1.6-inch transflective LCD display, which should make it excellent in bright sunlight. The rest of its specs are very similar to other Android Wear devices, including: 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, waterproof IP68 (one meter of water for 30 minutes), and various movement sensors. No heart rate monitor though.

The Sony Smartwatch 3 will cost $249, and can be preordered through Verizon right now. Google says it will be adding preorders on Google Play soon. The Smarwatch 3 will start shipping on October 30th.
