Now in stock at the Google Play Store, is the Sony SmartWatch 3. Orders for the Android Wear powered timepiece will leave the warehouse in 1-2 business days. Besides the Play Store, the Sony SmartWatch 3 is also available via Verizon. The Sony SmartWatch 3 pairs with a smartphone to bring you notifications on calls or texts. With your phone or tablet, it can play music via the Walkman player app.
The Sony SmartWatch 3 is priced at $249. It is equipped with a 1.6 inch screen with resolution of 320 x 320. A quad-core 1.2GHz processor powers the watch, which has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of native storage. The IP68 certification means that the wearable can sit in 4.9 feet of liquid for no longer than 30 minutes, without sustaining any damage. It is the only Android Wear smartwatch that has its own built-in GPS.
The Sony SmartWatch 3 will pair with any handset running Android 4.3 or higher, using Bluetooth. And even without your smartphone, you can use the watch to play your favorite songs while out on a jog. You can also use your voice to interact with Google Search whenever it is necessary.
