Samsung's Z3 Tizen smartphone allegedly pictured in the wild
Samsung is reportedly getting ready to launch several new Tizen smartphones, and, according to previous rumors, one of them will be called Samsung Z3. Thanks to Korean website Tizen Cafe, we can now take a look at what seem to be the first photos showing the Z3 (model number SM-Z300H).

The photos show the Samsung Z3 running Tizen OS 3.0, though it's said that, at launch, the handset will run Tizen OS 2.4 (but perhaps an update to version 3.0 will be available shortly after that).

We can see that the Z3 supports two SIM cards, and has a screen which looks considerably larger than the screen of Samsung's first Tizen smartphone (the 4-inch Z1). As reported not long ago, the display of the Z3 could be a 5-inch Super AMOLED one with 720 x 1280 pixels. The new handset should also feature a quad-core 1.3 GHz Spreadtrum SC7730S processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage space, and a 2600 mAh battery. The phone is expected to have an 8 MP rear camera, and a 5 MP front-facing camera.

The Samsung Z3 could be officially announced at the end of July in India, and we assume that's where it's going to be available first (probably at an attractive price).

This could turn out great for mid/low range. Maybe enter "flagship" waters in 2-3 years

I can't wait to see how Tizen OS will turn out, wonder if it will be a real competitor against android and iOS.

Definitely faster and more battery efficient than modified android on lesser hardware (ie Samsung Gear)

Can it run Android/iOS apps? If it can't then IMO it will have issues with dev support like WP8 But if it can run Android or iOS apps (like Window 10 Mobile), then things could be interesting

Tizen is based on HTML5 so it should be easy to write apps for it
