Samsung Pay will work on Gear S3 watches paired with any phone running 4.4 KitKat and up

Up until now, if you wanted to use Samsung Pay on a Gear smartwatch that wasn't paired to a Samsung smartphone, you were simply out of luck. This won't be the case anymore, however, as Samsung's contactless payment service will work just fine on Gear S3 smartwatches paired with non-Samsung smarpthones. The only requirement is that the phone is running Android 4.4 KitKat and up.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that Samsung Pay will be made available on all non-Samsung smartphones as a standalone service, but it's a liberating decision on part of the company nonetheless, as Gear S3 users won't be forced to have their smartwatches paired to a Samsung device in order to use the company's wireless payment platform.

Inputting card info will likely be handled by some sort of a companion app, rather than from the watch itself, although Samsung is known for striving for the highest security possible when it comes to its wireless payment service, so it remains to be seen how this will pan out.

The information has been confirmed by a Samsung Pay rep on Twitter, but details are slim at this point. More info should surface in the following weeks.

That's awesome. More reason to get one and more potential customers.

well, its inconvenient to use it. When I set-up samsung pay, the whole watch needs to have a pin code for access. I can understand pincode access just for samsung pay - but no - it doesnt work that way. imagine having to type a pin code on the small screen every time you need to use/browse your watch. And to make things worse, there is a bug - even if you disable/reset samsung pay, the pin code doesnt go away. The watch for some reason do not allow you to change the lock option from pincode to none. Only option is to factory reset the watch. I disabled samsung pay for now. Apart from these issues - its a great watch.

Awesome, technology is developing with the time span. The beauty and uniqueness of ordinary watches - in the dial. Therefore, we like watches, we wear them, and there are so many variations of them. Every detail of the dial is important, from the form and materials to typography and visual design. In addition to practical application, when choosing watches rafiqsonsonline(.)com/product-category/citizen/, we are guided by the need to express our personality - this is similar to the choice of clothes. But the Apple Watch display is just a black screen that looks the same for everyone. It shows the dial only if you hold the wrist to the face - otherwise you, no one else will see it. Thanks
