Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 update starts rolling out officially, just as promised - Exynos version too

UPDATE: The international Galaxy S4 version with Exynos 5 Octa processor is also getting the update, our readers report, as you can see in the screenshot on the right, and it's quite a big one.

Those of you who are into rooting and modding would smile condescendingly at this particular nugget of info, but Samsung is keeping on its promise to bring the latest Android 4.3 to the flagship Galaxy S4 by the end of October.

We already reported on leaked firmware a few days ago, and the most impatient among you have probably installed it as a daily driver, as it was almost street-ready, but this here is the official stuff now.

The update has started rolling out in Germany, and will gradually get to other countries until every last Galaxy S4 gets the sweet new stuff by year-end, including the US carrier models. Here's what new features it will bring to your trusted flagship:


Also the update is improving the Android performance significantly, with synthetic benchmarks measuring up to 20% upside from updating to Android 4.3 alone.
