Samsung Galaxy S II gets its very own special Golden Egg level in Angry Birds
In Samsung’s attempt to really showcase the wonders of its Galaxy S II smartphone, they’re partnering with Rovio to offer owners of the handset a surprising new treat with Angry Birds in the form of a special Golden Egg level.

Found in the latest episode of Angry Birds Seasons, Summer Pignic, this hidden Golden Egg level is accessible by entering the third level and uncovering the hidden item. Once you’ve managed to hit that hidden Golden Egg, you’ll be transported to a new level that takes place on some far out galaxy where the game physics have been modified.  Of course, it goes to show that there are some small perks with the ownership of the highly prized Samsung Galaxy S II.

If you’re running to some issues trying to uncover the hidden Golden Egg in the third level of Summer Pignics, you can watch the video below to show you where it’s located.

Sure this does,if you bought an unlocked version so you don't have to have the lame names US Carriers are giving it.

"If you bought an unlocked version so you don't have to have the lame names US Carriers are giving it." Yeah I definitely care about the name of a phone over it's specs.

Thus why you buy the unlocked version, if in USA, because the specs on this is the best out now. And you get Golden Egg, Win Win All around

For the specs if you have the cash, sure. Not sure I want to pay unlocked price for Angry Birds, though. That is a true addict. :-D

And I also want to spend an extra $600 for buying it unlocked and overseas just because I don't like the name.

The unlocked version doesnt carry Tmobile USA's 4g signal with it, so its useless to me.

"Samsung is partnering with Rovio to offer owners of the handset a surprising new treat with Angry Birds in the form of a special Golden Egg level." It's nice to know your mind is in the right place. "f**k America getting the phone, let's work on some Angry Birds exclusives for it!!" .__.

Seems like the good humor is gone on this. About two months ago, everyone was saying how they were not buying anything until they at least tried the GS2's. Now, HTC Sensation, EVO 3D, Droid Bionic, Motorola Photon and the price drops of the Atrix are starting to look real good. The HTC Holiday might beat the Samsung out. I know if they release it tomorrow, next month, or at Thanksgiving, they will sell a ton. I just wonder how many sales they lost so far.

does anyone know why this phone hasnt been released in the us yet? is it to compete from the iphone 4s/5 launch?

I'd imagine it has something to do with Apple, but I'd venture to guess it has to do with the legal battles more than trying to compete with Apple. Samsung must be worried about the possibility of the bad press and loss of face they'd get if they received a US court ordered injunction on the sale or use of SGSII while the lawsuit is going on.
