Samsung Galaxy C9 reportedly coming soon

Several months after launching the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, Samsung is now seemingly getting ready to announce a new handset from the C-series: the Galaxy C9.

According to SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy C9 has the model number SM-C9000, and is codenamed "Amy". Unfortunately, there are no details on the specs and design of the C9, though we're guessing that, just like the C5 and C7 (pictured above), this will be a metal-made phone with mid-range features - including a fingerprint scanner.

The name of the upcoming Samsung handset suggests that it's a very large device. Since the Galaxy C5 sports a 5.2-inch screen, and the C7 has a 5.7-inch one, the Galaxy C9 could offer a screen of around 6 inches, thus resembling the Galaxy A9 and Galaxy A9 Pro released by Samsung earlier this year.

At the moment, Samsung is selling the Galaxy C5 and C7 only in China, and we expect the C9 to be announced there first. We don't know if the Galaxy C9 will make it to the US or other markets, but we assume that it could at least be unofficially available via third-party sellers (however, network compatibility is probably not going to be great in this case). We'll let you know more about the Galaxy C9 as soon as we have new details.
