Samsung CEO confirms Galaxy S8 sales are 15% higher than Galaxy S7's

However, Samsung's CEO DJ Koh refuted these reports at a press conference held in Taipei recently. Besides confirming the late August reveal of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, he said that sales of the Galaxy S8 smartphones are well above those of the Galaxy S7 devices.
According to DJ Koh, cumulative sales of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are 15% higher than their predecessors' compared to the same period last year. He went on to say that his company expects sales of the Galaxy S8 devices to continue to rise in the next two quarters of 2017.
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23, but the phablet won't be available on the market until one month later. Samsung plans a two-phase market launch for Galaxy Note 8, so the first wave of countries to get the smartphone are South Korea, UK and United States.
The second wave of countries won't be getting the Galaxy Note 8 until October, which means Samsung fans will continue to be interested in the Galaxy S8 and S8+ for at least two more months from now.
